Yeng is 42 years old. She is married and resides with five children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in an agricultural business for more than twenty years, has an extensive experience and is successful in her career. She is involved in cultivating rice, beans and fattening up animals. Approximately, she earns about $6 per day. Her husband is a carpenter who earns about $5 per day. Her children are still in her care.
Yeng is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase fertilizer and pay the expenses of tilling her 5 hectares of farmland. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
