Yesenia is the coordinator of the Diamantes (Diamond) 1, 2 & 3 group. This group is composed of 15 micro-entrepreuners located in the city of La Santo Domingo. Yesenia's family is made up of two children and her husband. She runs a beauty salon and also sells products from a well-known brand catalog. She said that her most important challenge is to provide for her children's needs. She enjoys to read.
Yesenia is very excited to receive her first loan through Esperanza International. Receiving it, she will be able to expand her business, which she started by taking small loans from other lenders 4 years ago. She will invest by purchasing hair and beauty products for her beauty salon, to use and sell them to her clients. She will also buy different products like cosmetics, natural medicine, and other items from a catalog to sell.
One of Yesenia's dreams is to have a successful business and her own house. She thanks you all for your support!!
This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
