In the Villa Tejada Zone lies a Focus Center with the same name, to which the Señor de Exaltacion Association and its 16 members belong to. This is a very pleasant and likeable group, being that aside from working together with the loan system that Pro-Mujer offers them, they all formed a very beautiful friendship.

There are several activities that the women of the association perform. One of them owns a store that sells provisions while others sell prepared meals, ice cream or potatoes, but the majority of them make clothing such as blouses, pants, dresses and other garments. These items are created by them.

They now need more capital to purchase imported fabrics and special equipment to expand their businesses and be able to offer their higher quality products outside of the country.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
