Fatuma is married with five children who all attend school. She lives in her own home. She has been working as shopkeeper for a long time. She has a well-stocked grocery store in her home where she sells cashew nuts.
Fatuma tells us that her business is doing very well because she has good customers and is well known in her area for her good customer service and the good prices she offers. Thanks to her work, she is able to maintain her household and cover any out-of-pocket expenses.
Fatuma is requesting this loan to buy more sacks of cashew nuts for her business. She is grateful for the help that she is receiving as it will be very useful to her.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
