Antoinette Marie
Antoinette Marie is a 51 year old widow and the mother of seven children ranging in age from 20 to 31 years. One of them still attends school. Some of her grandchildren live with her in her home. She has been running a business selling dry food (peanuts, beans, coucous) in a local market for 31 years. She gets her supplies in the outskirts of town and sometimes on location. With this loan, she would like to increase her working capital, not only to increase her stock of merchandise but also to buy large quantities of plantains and manioc to better respond to her customers' demands.
She plans to reinvest the additional income generated from her business to build it up in order to take on a leadership position in the market, and to better meet the needs of her grandchildren.
