Marie Claire
Marie Claire is a 25 year old single woman without children. She is a vendor in a local market where she has been selling smoked fish and oil for five years. The business is not very profitable when buying merchandise in small quantities. The profit is really minimal and Marie Claire constantly runs out of stock because she has to sell her entire stock in order to be able to stock up again. Transportation costs are also high. For these reasons, she would like to buy larger quantities of stock: several barrels of oil and cases of smoked fish. This will limit her stock shortages, reduce transportation costs and increase her capital and sales and therefore her profit. She will no longer have to sell all of her stock before being able to stock up again. She will reinvest the profits that this loan will bring in her business in order to become a wholesaler in the future
