Hadija is married and has four children, who are still in school. She earns a living as a seller, selling food, including mangoes and other fruits, and drinks. She supplements her income by operating a motorcycle business. She has been with her business for five years in a village located in Kwale district, Mombasa.
This is Hadija’s first loan with Yehu Microfinance Trust. She is requesting a loan to buy bundles of wheat flour, maize flour, rice, fruits, and drinks etc. With this loan, she hopes to increase her stock and also earn more income to keep her children in school.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
