Afiwa
Afiwa K. is married and the mother of four. Her husband is a fisherman by trade. The family income is too low for her family to thrive. That is why Ms. K. entered the business of selling lamp oil to help her husband take care of the family. She builds up an inventory and sells the oil to households by the liter. The revenues from this business, though insufficient, go towards supporting her family. Ms. K. is asking for financial aid to boost her business. The $700 loan that she is requesting will serve to acquire a large stock of lamp oil to meet public demand in her area. Her sales numbers will improve thus benefiting her family.
