Nicat is an 18-year-old student who attends college. He is single and lives with his parents, both of whom are employed. His mother has been paying for his education, but he is now applying for work in several places so that he can pay for his own education. He is requesting a loan for 1,000 AZN to cover the cost of next year's tuition.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
