The 'Zhidmad' community bank has eight members who all live in Zhidmad parish, Cuenca. This city is surrounded by mountains which give it a picturesque setting where people can enjoy nature. The locals maintain the traditions of their ancestors. Our members raise livestock and farm. They often do this only for their families' own consumption. Many people also go to work in the city every day. They are kind people who work hard every day in order to improve their financial stability.

One of the members of this group is Rosa Ermelinda. She is 34 years old and a single mother of four children who are 14, 12, 8 and 6 years old. Her eldest son helps her with the housework and her three younger children attend a local school. They own their own home.

Rosa Ermelinda raises cows, lambs, pigs, chickens and guinea pigs. She has also been working as a domestic for 17 years but she only works certain days. She has also been making traditional cloths for 14 years. She works irregular hours, from Sunday to Sunday.

Rosa Ermelinda has been a member of her community bank for a number of years. She is a founding member. She will invest her loan money in buying chickens and also fabric for making her cloths.

Rosa Ermelinda's goal is to continue growing her business.

El banco comunal Zhidmad está formado por 8 socias quienes viven en la parroquia de Zhidmad en Cuenca, lugar que se encuentra rodeado de montañas las mismas que le dan el toque pintoresco en donde se puede disfrutar de la naturaleza, su gente aun mantienen las tradiciones de sus pueblos como nuestras socias quienes laboran en la cría de animales, en la agricultura que muchas veces es solo para el consumo de su hogar, muchos diariamente laboran en la ciudad ejerciendo diferentes actividades económicas, son personas amables, gentiles, que luchan el día a día para mejorar su estabilidad económica.

Una de las socias de este grupo es la Señora. Rosa Ermelinda, tiene 34 años de edad, es madre soltera de 4 hijos de 14, 12, 8 y 6 años de edad, su primer hijo pasa en casa ayudando en los quehaceres del hogar y sus tres últimos hijos estudian en una escuelita de la localidad. La casa en la que vive es de su propiedad.

La Señora. Rosa Ermelinda se dedica a la cría vacas, borregos, cerdos, pollos y cuyes. También trabaja como empleada domestica desde hace 17 años pero solo días específicos, hace 14 años también se dedica a elaborar guaipe y esta actividad la realiza sin horario y de domingo a domingo.

Se encuentra varios años en el banco comunal siendo socia fundadora de su banquito, el dinero de su crédito lo va a invertir comprando pollos y tela para la realización de su guaipe.

Su meta es seguir creciendo en su negocio.
