Lali is 46 years old, married, and has three children, two of whom attend school and one who helps with the dairy farm. She lives in a small village of Sagarejo District with her family and and mother-in-law, who is a pensioner.
Lali and her husband are busy with agricultural activities. They have three milking cows; every day they produce cheese and curds and sell them at the local open market. They also have one hectare of vineyard. They make wine in the autumn and sell it in nearby villages. The total average monthly income of the family is 1,000 Lari.
Lali is requesting a loan to purchase a truck. Her husband will be able to provide goods transportation services to local farmers. The family will earn additional income. They will also use the truck for transportation of their grapes. Using their own truck instead of a rented one will decrease transportation costs and increase their profit, which will be used to repair their house.
