Editha, 44 years old, is married, has four children, and lives in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
To help her family financially, Editha has a mini grocery store that generates PHP 15,000 per month. Editha sells different kinds of food, fruits, spices, and refreshments.
Editha has requested a loan of PHP 40,000 from GDMPC to purchase new items such as candies, Milo (chocolate powder), shampoo, soaps, etc. Editha has been a member of GDMPC for more than five years. In the future, she hopes that she will have a grocery store.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
