Touch is 39 years old, married and has three children. She resides in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling sweet cakes for more than two years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about $2 per day. One of her children is employed and earns about $2 per day.
In order to improve her family’s finance, Touch is requesting a loan for $500, which she will use to purchase cattle to resell for a profitable price. This money will help her start a new business and earn extra income to support her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and more comfortable for her family.
