Mayan is 25 years old. She is married and resides with her husband and one child in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been running a food store for more than two years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband is a blacksmith who produces axes and knives to sell. He earns about $7 per day.
In order to improve her family's livelihood, Mayan is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase steel for her husband to produce more axes and knives to sell. This money will help her husband expand his business and earn more profit to support the family. In the future, Mayan would like to expand her business and send her child to a good school. Moreover, she hopes to build a new concrete house as soon as possible.
