This is 58-year-old Alpha. He is married and has four children aged 7, 10, 15 and 21. He has three additional dependents, who live with him to assist in the business. In 1996, Alpha established his cooking utensil and plastic products business. The business started to enable him be self reliant and provide a livelihood for his family. Working seven days a week and 10 hours a day, he earns about 1,300,000 Leone (SLL) every month from this business.
He would like a loan in the amount of 5,000,000 SLL. Alpha has already received and successfully repaid three loans, and now requires a new loan in order to buy more cooking utensils and other plastic products. He hopes that this loan will enable him to increase his monthly profits by approximately 300,000 SLL. In the future, Alpha plans to open another shop at the outskirts of town.
