La Señora María es socia del banco comunal Nueva Amistad, vive por los alrededores de la parroquia Cumbe en Cuenca, lugar de clima frió, su situación geográfica es muy accidentada y nos brinda hermosos paisajes para disfrutar de la naturaleza, su gente se dedica a la cría de animales, a la agricultura y aun mantienen la cultura y tradiciones de sus pueblos.

La Señora. María tiene 74 años, es viuda y en su unión conyugal ha concebido una hija quien es soltera y vive de manera independiente, la casa en la que vive es de su propiedad.

Doña María pasa el mayor de su tiempo en casa, por lo que se dedica a la cría de cerdos, pollos, borregos y ganado a los mismos que los vende cuando tiene alguna necesidad económica. También se dedica a la agricultura y sus productos son para el consumo de su hogar y para la venta.
