Later on, she benefited from additional funding in the form of basic credit from IMF Hekima. She has been engaged in these revenue-generating activities for 8 years. The developing insecurity in the interior of the province and the unstable macro-economic situation due to fluctuating market prices constitute serious threats to the development of her business activities. This new loan will allow her to buy fish (12 packages), and she will invest the rest. The profits from her business allow her to pay her children's educational, clothing and food expenses. She would also like to watch her children grow up and complete their studies, and build a house.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
