Samson is aged 54 years and is married with six children; three are adults, with the other three still being minors and in school. He has been in farming for 10 years and currently produces maize, bananas, and eggs for the local markets.
Samson has requested a loan of 60,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy more poultry birds and expand his poultry housing unit. He hopes to improve the poultry business and later use the income generated from poultry farming to venture into dairy farming as well.
Samson laments of high costs of farm inputs, but he appreciates Juhudi Kilimo's financial support for smallholder farmers.
