He makes a living in agriculture planting Icta Frit potatoes [a Guatemalan variety]. He started this work planting his parent's land and he now has 18 years of experience. He has the support of his wife who is a domestic worker.

He organized this group to request a loan which he will use to set aside as working capital to purchase Icta Frit potato seeds and fertilizer. He hopes that in the future he will have more land to generate more produce.

The rest of the members of the group make their living in the same type of work, planting Icta Frit potatoes.

El señor Marto esta casado, tiene 36 años de edad, cursó el sexto grado de educación primaria, tiene 1 hijos el cual estudia, se dedica a la agricultura a la siembre de papas tipo Icta Frit, inicio este trabajo, sembrando el el terreno de sus padres y hasta el momento lleva 18 años de experiencia, cuenta con al apoyo de su esposa quien se dedica a los oficios domésticos.

Organza un grupo y solicitar un prestamos que lo utilizaran apara capital de trabajo, para la compra de semillas de papa Tipo Icta Frit, y la compra de fertilizante. Espera en el futuro tener mas terreno para generar mas produccion. Los demás integrantes de grupo se dedica al mismo trabajo: La siembra de papa Tipo Icta Frit.

About Asociación ASDIR

ASDIR (Asociación de Desarrollo Integral Rural - Association for the Development of Rural Communities) is a community-based organization that works to promote development in the villages and communities where it serves. It was founded in 1999 in the village of Nimasac, Totonicapán Department, by a handful of local men and women to support community projects and group loans. Today ASDIR has 5 offices across 3 departments (Totonicapán, Sololá and Suchitepéquez) serving more than 6,000 clients, most of them in rural communities.
