Yon is 57 years old. She is a mother of four children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling traditional music instruments for more than ten years, earning approximately $16 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. Three of her children are employed. They earn about $12 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Yon is requesting a loan of $1200 to raise capital in her business by purchasing more musical instruments to resell. By doing so, she would earn more income to support the family. In the future, Yon would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelors degrees.
