Sophy is 38 years old. She is the mother of three children and resides with her husband in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.
She has been involved in growing rice and breeding pigs to sell for more than two years, earning approximately $6 per day. Her husband is a chef who earns about $15 per day. Her children are still in her care and in school.
In order to improve her business, Sophy is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase cattle to use for tilling her farmland. This purchase will help her reduce farming expenses.
In the future, she would like to expand her pig farm and help her children earn Bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family.
