Hanaa is a 46-year-old Lebanese married woman. She lives with her husband and two children, who are still studying. They are a united family, cooperating together in order to enrich their way of living. Her husband started his business as a sweet maker in 1996. As for Hanaa, she has been selling accessories and perfumes from her home for the past ten years. Today, she’s asking for a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase more products such as accessories and perfumes for her business in order to boost her sales and earn a superior income. In the future, she plans to open her own perfumes and accessories shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
