Zahra is a 60-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband. They cooperate together to be able to fulfill their needs and demands. She opened her own grocery store in 2002. She’s well known for being very friendly and welcoming. Today she’s requesting to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase more groceries and food provisions for her shop in order to increase her sales thus her revenues. In the future, she plans to open her own mini-market and hire someone to work with her.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
