Cupertino
Cupertino is 37 years of age. He lives in the city of Pucallpa, located in the Peruvian jungle. Pucallpa has lots of varied flora and fauna, and is a city where you can appreciate the beauty of nature and get away from the noise.

Cupertino lives with his wife, with whom he has three children aged 9, 11 and 13. He loves his children a lot, and makes a great effort to give them a dignified life. When he has some free time he likes to fix up and repair his house, and also enjoys eating one of his favorite dishes, Arroz a la Cubana, which is rice with fried plantain and fried meat. Cupertino only studied to sixth grade in primary school, but he would have liked to finish school and learn to be a bus driver.

Cupertino is very enthusiastic when working in his business selling fruit. He spends about 10 hours a day in work and can have up to 70 customers each day. He also works in his field where he grows rice and beans. He thinks his business does well because he is very friendly with his customers, and above all because he sells quality produce.

Cupertino is very grateful to Kiva lenders as, thanks to their help, he will be able to make improvements to his home. These include repairing the roof, improving the walls which are made of corrugated metal sheets, and other repairs. In this way he will be able to improve his family’s quality of life, and continue working to realize his biggest dream: to provide his children with education and be a successful seller.
