Ziporah is fifty-eight years old, and the single mother of five children aged forty, thirty-six, thirty-two, twenty-eight and twenty-two. She runs a restaurant, a business she started eight years ago, and earns a monthly income of KES 45,000.
She has requested a first loan of KES 30,000 to purchase 50kgs of rice, 50kgs of sugar and 50 litres of cooking oil. The profit she earns will be ploughed back into her business as well as used to repay her loan.
Her dream is to one day be a great entrepreneur as well as to encourage her children to venture into the business world.
