Houriya is the featured borrower for Houriya's group. She got together with her other group members to take this Al Majmoua loan because they have always been neighbors and friends. She is seated on the right. She has been working in the agriculture business for 30 years, and does well in her business because of the good quality products she plants and sells.
Houriya is a hard working widowed woman, mother of two children Najlaa (female-44 years) & Ahmad (Male-40 years). She spent her life in raising and teaching her children and taking the role of both the mother and the father.

Houriya is well known in the region, because of her good reputation. Houriya faced some obstacles at the beginning, since she was a woman and needed help. She wasn't capable of requesting help from others, because she couldn't afford paying them. She is applying for a loan from Kiva partner, Al Majmoua, in order to buy necessary seeds and fertilizers for her business.
This is her first cycle as an Al Majmoua borrower, and she believes that it will be have a positive impact on her business. She hopes to plow her land in the future, and to increase her production.
