She worked there before this and they taught her everything about the business which she has turned into the source of livelihood for her family. In her kiosk, she sells all sorts of newspapers, magazines, and periodicals and also all types of candy and soda. Because she has been working in the same place for a long time, she is very well known and she has many customers. Thanks to her business, she has been able to buy all types of household appliances and to give her children a good education. What she wants most its to buy some land to build a house and put a store there. She will use her loan to buy magazines and periodicals to offer a greater variety to her customers. She is the newest member of the loan group "Unidas Triunfaremos" (Together We Triumph). One of the other members invited her to participate and be part of the group.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
