Milagros Medalit
Milagros is a young woman who is 22 years of age and lives in the city of Pisco, which is known for its warm climate. Pisco is developed in its agriculture, especially in its crops of cotton, corn, and other commodities. It is also in this city where one can find the Ballestas Islands and the Paracas Candelabra (a prehistoric geoglyph), which attract an infinite number of tourists throughout the year. These beautiful attractions are marveled by everyone who visits. When she has free time, Milagros enjoys playing sports, especially volleyball, with her friends and neighbors in the area. She also likes to eat one of her favorite dishes, the delicious "arroz con pato" (duck with rice). Since her parents had limited resources, Milagros was only able to complete her high school education. She would have like to have continued by studying gastronomy.

With great enthusiasm, Milagros works in her business of selling clothes. She works around 10 hours a day and is able to serve up to 30 customers in a day. Milagros believes she is doing well in her business because she is well-known. She has been in business for two years and all of her customers are treated with friendly service.

Milagros is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the assistance they have provided, she will be able to buy more merchandise for her business such as trousers, jackets, sweaters, and other items. This will improve her earnings and enable her to have a wider variety of products. Milagros continues to strive each day to fulfill her greatest dream of having a house of her own.
