Djekafo (La Même Voix) Group
This group of women trade in various articles such as clothing, soap, and different sorts of catering. To enlarge their businesses, the members decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso credit programme two years ago. This is their third group loan.
Aïchata is a member of the Djekafo group, she sells all sorts of condiments and is sitting in the middle in the photo opposite her condiments.
She plans to use her loan to buy, little by little, her stock of condiments such as onion, garlic, tomato concentrate, and spices. She buys her products at the market in Koutiala and in Bamako. She sells her wares retail for cash to all sorts of different people.
Whereas the other members of the Djekafo group each plan to make an average profit of 85.000FCFA from this loan, Mme Fatoumata plans to make 95.000FCFA.
In addition to the repayment of the loan, the group use part of the loan to assume the everyday expenses of the family.
Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce d’articles divers tel les habits, savon, de la restauration et divers. Pour augmenter la taille de leurs activités, les membres ont décidé d’intégrer le programme crédit de Soro Yiriwaso il y a deux années. Elles sont à leur troisième prêt de groupe.

Elle compte utiliser son prêt pour acheter au fur et à mesure des stocks de condiments oignons, ail, tomate concentrée et épice. Elle se procure de ses produits au grand marché de Koutiala et à Bamako. Elle vend en détail au comptant à une clientèle diverse et variée.
Tandis que Les membres du groupe Djekafo comptent réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 85 000FCFA chacune au cours de ce cycle Mme Fatoumata compte réaliser 95 000FCFA.
En plus du remboursement des prêts, elles utilisent une partie du revenu pour faire face aux dépenses courantes de la famille.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
