Kotognogotala is a group of women from Koutiala who know each other well and live in large traditional families with their husbands, children, and other relatives.On average they are 34 years old, married, and have at least 4 children.
This group of women have businesses in textile, soap, gumbo in plastic, and hairdressing etc.
To expand their activities,the members of the group decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso credit programme two years ago.This is their fourth group loan.
Magnini Dante is a member of the Kotognogotala group, she sells knitted bed sheets.
She plans to use her loan to purchase pieces of fabric for the composition of bed sheets.She buys her products from wholesalers at the market in Koutiala.She sells her articles retail, for cash at Koutiala market, from home, and on an itinerant basis to a varied clientele.She is much in demand for she is gifted in her work.
Whereas the other members of the Kotognogotala group each hope to make a profit of 120 000FCFA from this loan, Mme Magnini plans to make 180 000FCFA.
In addition to the repayment of the loans, they use part of the income to cope with personnel expenses and some to enlarge their businesses.
Kotognogotala est un regroupement de femmes de Koutiala qui se connaissent bien et vivent dans de grandes familles traditionnelles avec leurs maris, enfants et autres parents. Elles ont en moyenne 34 ans, sont mariées et mère de au moins 4 enfants.
Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce d’articles divers tels, de tissu, savon, gombo plastique et la coiffure etc.
Pour augmenter la taille de leurs activités, les membres ont décidé d’intégrer le programme crédit de Soro Yiriwaso il y a deux ans. Elles sont à leur quatrième prêt de groupe.
Magnini Dante est un membre du groupe Kotognogotala qui vend des draps de lits tricotés.
Elle compte utiliser son prêt pour acheter, des pièces de tissus pour les tricoter en faire des draps de lits. Elle se procure de ses produits au marché de Koutiala avec les grossistes. Elle vend ses articles en détail et au comptant au marché de Koutiala à la maison et en ambulant à une clientèle diverse et variée elle est très sollicitée car elle a le talent.
Tandis que les autres membres du groupe Kotognogotala comptent réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 120 000FCFA chacune au cours de ce cycle Mme Magnini compte réaliser 180 000FCFA.
En plus du remboursement des prêts, elles utilisent une partie du revenu pour faire face aux dépenses personnel et augmenter son fond de commerce.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
