Cesaria is from Bañadero, Ozamis City. She is 41 years old, married, and has three children.
To make a living, Cesaria cooks and sells food. While not the only means of generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from preparing and selling cooked food for daily meals. Cesaria has been in her business for five years and earns PHP 13,000 a month. In 2007, she joined GDMPC. Cesaria is now requesting a loan of PHP 17,000, which she will use to purchase new equipment and tools to expand her business. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
