Somaly is 23 years old. She is a mother of two children and resides with her husband in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been working in a garment factory for more than 2 years, earning approximately 3 USD per day. Her husband is a truck driver who earns 5 USD per day. In order to improve her family’s finance, Somaly is requesting a loan of 600 USD to purchase rice for resale when the price is higher. By doing so, she would earn extra income to support the family. In the future, she would like to run a grocery store and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family.
