Currently Tadjiniso, together with her son and daughter in law, is teaching at the regional school far away from home. On the weekends she travels home, as it is not possible for her to go back every day. Her husband Jusufaj is disabled and under treatment. The son and the oldest one of the family earns money and also helps his parents.
Tadjiniso receives a loan to make small repairs to her house. Her living conditions are poor, and the family can not save a large amount of money, but our conditions are favorable for her. She intends to work with us and thanks us for our support.

But Arvand loans have been able to make a difference and change lives. Read about some of the incredible success stories they have seen here in this Kiva blog post: Bringing hope to Tajikistan with Arvand -- one success story at a time.
About Housing Loans
Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
