Hong is 51 years old. She is the mother of five children and resides with her husband in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and fattening up animals. She earns approximately $2 per day. Her husband is a veterinarian who earns about $8 per day. One of her children is employed in a garment factory. In order to improve her family’s living conditions, Hong is requesting a loan of $600 to purchase farmland to use for growing rice. This purchase would enable her to expand her business and earn more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to run a pig farm and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
