Sung is 37 years old. She is a mother of five children and resides with her husband in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been growing rice and fattening animals for more than twenty years, earning approximately $5 per day. Sung's husband runs the business of purchasing cattle to resell. He earns about $10 per day. Two of Sung's children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $7 per day.
In order to improve her family's finances, Sung is requesting a loan of $1300 to purchase farmland to use for her agricultural crops cultivation. This purchase would help her expand her business and earn more income to support her family. In the future, Sung would like to run an additional business to earn more income for her family and help her children earn a higher education to get a good job.
