Youssef is a 51-year-old, Lebanese man who lives with his wife and three children. Two of his children are still attending school while the other one is working.
Youssef is doing the best he can to support his family and provide them with a decent standard of living. He has been working as a car painter since 2005, and he has his own garage.
Today, Youssef is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to buy automobile paint for his shop. This will keep him up-to-date and enable him to present new paint colors to his customers.
In the future, he plans to open a bigger garage where he can serve more clients.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
