Chantho is 33 years old. She is a mother of three children and resides with her husband in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been producing palm sugar for more than ten years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a palm fruit and coconut vendor who earns about $5 per day. All of her children are still in her care and in school. In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Chantho is requesting a loan of $1200 to purchase a motorbike and a trailer for carrying palm fruit and coconuts to sell. This purchase will help her husband carry palm fruit and coconuts to sell in larger amounts and earn more profit to support her family. In the future, she would like to use the profit to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
