Cherry Mae is married has no children. She is 35 years old and presently lives at Gawad Kalinga, Nazareth, Buenavista, Pagadian City.
She sells rice to earn a living and she has had this business for 3 years. Each month, she earns PHP 6,000 doing this type of work. She has requested a loan amounting to PHP 40000 to purchase more inventory for her general store.
She has been a member of PMPC for almost 2 years. In the future, she hope to be a very successful businesswoman with PMPC as her partner-inspiration.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
