Fausto De Jesús
Sr. Fausto is 63 years old, married and has one daughter. He comes from a very large family and has eight siblings. He is the only male so that at a very early age he began working with his father in the fields. At 25 years of age he married and began working on his own. Nowadays he works with his daughter’s husband and his grandchildren.

He buys his agricultural supplies in two cities; one is six kilometers from his house and the other two kilometers away. Therefore he needs to pay for a means of transportation to bring the supplies to his house and later pay for more transport, which is a wagon, to take them from his house to the field where he has his crops. His land is nine kilometers from his house.

Don Fausto is requesting a loan from Fundación Campo to purchase compost, fertilizer, and insecticide in order to prepare the land he cultivates. Thus he will have a source of income to help his family with a major production. His desire is to improve his dwelling so that his daughter can provide a better life for her children.
