Nani lives in Tskaltubo District. She is fifty-three years old and is a widow. Nani lives with her big family: her thirty-two-year-old daughter, her son-in-law, mother-in-law and two grandchildren. Her grandson works as driver in a local company. Nani leads the agricultural business of the family. She has four milk cows. Nani produces on average 80 kg of cheese per month. She sells it on Tskaltubo open market to local dairy products retailers. Along with the above mentioned the family owns a vineyard with 500 vines. Nani and her son in law produce wine and sell it on the same market. The total average monthly income of the family is 700 Laris, including the pension of Nani’s mother-in-law.
Nani requested credit to purchase bulls. Nani will take wood from the forest with the assistance of the bulls. She will sell the wood in the village. The people in the village use the wood to heat the oven during winter months, as it is the only way of heating the house.
The income of the family will increase and they will be able to improve their living conditions.
