Rehema is the mother of two children, both of whom are enrolled in school. She sells juice and ice cream from her home, selling to her neighbors.
Rehema lives in a family house that has both electricity and piped water. She also owns some rental houses which earn her other sources of livelihood. She joined Yehu to get access to loans. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
The loan of KES 20000 will enable her start a food stall.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
