Cecilia
Cecilia is a member of the Aguas Subterráeas communal bank in the city of Viña del Mar.

She has been making and selling empanadas, hot dogs, pizza, and others for two years. She does her work at home from Monday through Friday. Also, she feels very comfortable in the company of the other entrepreneurs in her communal bank. They share activities and interests, which have been opportunities to pass the time pleasantly.

Viña del Mar is a city and municipality on the central Chilean coast. It is known as 'The Garden City' owing to the gardens and courtyards that some of the old houses in the city have. It is also considered the tourist capital of Chile.

Cecilia forma parte del Banco Comunal “Aguas Subterráneas” perteneciente a la ciudad de Viña del Mar.
Ella se dedica al rubro de ventas de la elaboración de empanadas, completos, pizza, servicios entre otros, desde hace 2 años.
Cecilia se desempeña en sus labores en su casa de lunes a viernes y su horario lo distribuye de acuerdo a su disponibilidad, ya que a veces ella es quien se dirige a los domicilios particulares de sus clientes.
Su mercadería la compra en Valparaíso en diferentes distribuidoras.
Una de las metas de Cecilia es colocar un restaurante, en el cual pueda atender a sus clientes de mejor calidad.
Con el crédito comprará materiales para su negocio, y la vez arreglar el techo de su casa.
Cecilia vive junto a su marido y 2 hijos de 11 y 5 años quienes estudian, sus sueños a nivel personal son tener una casa linda con un buen techo, y un auto para repartir sus pedidos a su clientela.
Ella está muy contenta y agradecida de la oportunidad que le ha brindado Fondo Esperanza, ya que le ha permitido invertir en su negocio.
Además se siente muy cómoda con la compañía de las demás emprendedores del grupo del Banco Comunal, ya que comparten diferentes actividades, intereses, lo cual le ha servido como un momento de distracción.
Viña del Mar es una ciudad y comuna ubicada en el litoral central de Chile, conocida como la Ciudad Jardín debido a los jardines y patios que poseen algunas viviendas antiguas de la ciudad. También es considerada la capital turística de Chile.

About Fondo Esperanza

Fondo Esperanza (FE) is a private non-profit organization that supports entrepreneurship by providing micro-credit and training to people living in poverty in well over 100 cities throughout Chile. By providing these services, FE aims to improve the living conditions of the entrepreneurs and their families. In 2010, FE provided loans to more than 41,000 entrepreneurs. It utilizes a communal banking model in which groups of 18 to 25 clients meet on regularly and guarantee each other’s loans. The members use their portion of the loan to create or expand their own businesses. In the group meetings, clients receive training though the FE Entrepreneurship School, which enhances clients’ personal and business skills and ability to work in groups.
