Reem is a conservative person who prefers not to have her photo published online, so her husband Ashraf appears in her Kiva profile photo, pictured next to the paints and gypsum he has.
Reem is a 40-year-old woman. She is married to Ashraf and a mother to three sons. Her husband is a painter, but the income he gets is not enough to cover the family's needs. For the past three years, Reem's husband has had a successful project, which is selling gypsum decorations and accessories and installing and painting all these gypsum decorations. It has been a profitable project and the only source of income to the family, but it needs more support to be improved and cover the costs.
Reem wants to help her husband, as she is looking to live with her family in better conditions by increasing the family's income, through taking a 1,500 USD loan from FATEN to help her husband cover the costs of purchasing a necessary collection of paints, a variety of models of gypsum and gypsum molds. This will improve Reem's husband's work and increase the size and the quality of his work, which will lead to improvements in the family's income.
