María Estela is 48 years old, single, and the mother of two children, both of whom are college students. She is a high-quality dressmaker and has been self-employed for 18 years and in the business for 30 years. She started as seamstress assistant, and she used her small salary to study couture and design. Now she is a respected designer and dressmaker among their clients. She says that, thanks to her experience and the friendships she has made, she has made high-level economic contacts and has independently entered the market.

In addition to having her own client base, she also works with businesses, schools and universities making uniforms. With time she has made progress, and today she has three employers that work in her shop. Her dream is to have a boutique in downtown Asunción so that she can be closer to her clients and help other women like herself find work.

María Estela has asked for a loan to purchase general supplies wholesale, such as fabrics, thread, fasteners, elastic, buttons, pins, etc. since the demand for school and business uniforms has increased and she wants to fill all of her orders.
