Nancy is a resident and a farmer in Murang'a area of Central Kenya. She is married with four adult children and has been in farming for thirty years. Her farm produces mainly milk and coffee for the local market.
Nancy has requested a loan of 41,600 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy and insure a dairy cow. She says this will help improve her farming income and standard of living by making her more self-reliant. She has high hopes for her dairy farming and plans to have a farm of mixed breeds.
She laments unstable markets which lead to fluctuation in market prices. She advocates for more individual loans.
