Sra. María is 42 years old and has lived with a companion for 20 years, more or less. She has two daughters. María is from the city of Santaní, but she moved with her husband and now lives in the city of Paraguarí. Maria has been working as a "macate" (traveling merchant) for more than three years. Her husband has been in the same line of work for more than 10 years. They work together and already have around 1,000 customers in more than seven sales territories. In order to cover all of them, they get assistance from their entire family. Maria's daughters and a nephew help with making deliveries to these areas.

Maria is requesting a loan in order to buy blankets, bedspreads, bed sheets, and other items. She hopes to expand her sales territories and have more income, which will help her continue growing.
