Jalia is a single mother of three children. Two of her children go to school. She takes care of her grand children .She sells charcoal at the market on a t retail She works for six days a week. She has been in this business for 10 years. She has applied for a loan of shs 600,000 Ugandan shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. Her major business challenges include seasonality, transportation and thieves. She is aspiring of seeing her business grow big and also buying a track to transport her charcoal. She lives in a rented house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include paying school fees,rent and food.
