Hussein is a 60-year-old Lebanese married man. He lives with his wife and seven children. Five of them are still studying while the others are working. He’s trying the best he can to enhance his family’s way of life. He has owned a library for seventeen years. He has a good job and is happy about what he has attained so far. Today, he’s looking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase additional stationary and books for his library. Definitely, this will develop his business and help him earn more income. In the future, he plans to expand his business and better support his family.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
