Priscilla is a woman with one child who is enrolled in school. Priscilla owns a house that has both electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the last two years, she has been operating a wood workshop. Her primary customers include the general public. She says that high transport costs are her major challenge.
She intends to use the loan of KES 30,000 to buy timbers. She joined Yehu to get access to funds for her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
