El Grupo denominado Atenas tuvo su inicio en el mes de Noviembre del Año 2.007, una de las integrantes tuvo conocimiento del programa Comité de Mujeres Emprendedoras através de una vecina quien ya formaba parte en comité. Viendo el progreso logrado y los beneficios del mismo, esta señora decidió contactar a sus amigas y vecinas para formar su propio comité. Las reuniones informativas fueron un éxito, se logro formar el grupo que está compuesto por señoras muy trabajadoras y activas. Las integrantes se dedican a distintas actividades como, venta de mercería, artesanías, cosméticos, helados, comidas rápidas, peluquería, confección de ropas y empleadas domésticas.



El Grupo Atenas esta conformado por 17 integrantes, el Grupo se encuentra localizado en la Ciudad de J. Augusto Saldivar una ciudad que queda a escasos minutos de Itá y se caracteriza por ser una zona principalmente rural.



Estas mujeres además de ser amas de casa y microempresarias, también realizan actividades con el fin de recaudar fondos para mejoras en su barR.. Es un grupo unido y muy puntual en sus créditos, ellas saben que es primordial la responsabilidad en los pagos, la comunicación entre ellas y la solidaridad principalmente. El promedio que desea retirar cada una es de 500.000gs. cada una para invertirlos principalmente en la compra de mercaderías e insumos para sus ventas.

The group named “Athens” began in November 2007, one of the members became aware of the Committee for Women Entrepreneurs through a neighbor who was already part of the committee. The Athens Group is made up of 17 members, the group is located in the City of J. Augusto Saldivar which is a few minutes away from Itá and is characterized by a predominantly rural area.




These women besides being housewives and micro entrepreneurs are also active in raising funds for improvements in their neighborhood.
